Welcome! I’m a therapist based in Boulder, Colorado. I work with individuals and couples to find peace and meaning in their lives.
I was drawn to becoming a therapist after years of hosting the award-winning podcast “Life Examined” on KCRW/NPR, during which I interviewed leading thinkers, including Esther Perel, Michael Pollan, Bessel van der Kolk, Jack Kornfield, Deepak Chopra, Gary Snyder, Oliver Sacks, Sharon Salzberg, David Whyte, and Tara Brach. My work has aired nationally on NPR's All Things Considered and Marketplace.
These conversations have informed how I feel about the world, and ways to help my clients. I specialize in working with athletes, artists, and leaders who are going after big goals, but need support on their journey. I am also drawn to cases of acute or traumatic grief — the sudden loss of a loved one, an unexpected diagnosis, and other questions of mortality.
Outside of psychology work, I compete as an elite amateur in endurance sporting events across the country. My notable races include: full Ironman, half-Ironman (3x finisher), Leadville 100 MTB (3x finisher and Big Buckle), Unbound 200 Gravel, and numerous age group podiums in gravel cycling.
